Tonkatsu Ichiban

Tonkatsu Ichiban is a small, long-established shop in Kyoto serving home-style tonkatsu, a five-minute walk from the Kyoto Aquarium. Its main dishes are standard tonkatsu made by frying thick cuts of meat until tender, and katsudon, both served with shredded cabbage and soup. The shop has counter seats and table seats, so sitting alone is easy. The tables are small, which makes them uncomfortable for tall people.
