Tomisen

Tomisen is a small local sushi shop behind Kyoto Station that serves sushi and sashimi. The sushi includes thick-cut neta such as tuna chutoro, uni, and shrimp, ordered individually, and can be accompanied by fried squid and sake. It is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., takes phone reservations, and serves service sushi. Without a reservation, you may be turned away when it is full or be limited to one hour before the next reservation.
