Sumibi Goku is a charcoal yakitori izakaya just south of the Shijo Omiya roundabout in Kyoto, directly in front of Hankyu Shijo Omiya Station. It grills skewers of chicken thigh, yagen nankotsu, liver, and mini tomatoes over charcoal, and also serves fried chicken skin. The small shop has tables and a restroom on the second floor, with non-smoking seats available, and many reserved guests in the evening. Seats are close together, so it feels cramped during busy hours.
