Sobato Sushi Nanonoya is an izakaya in front of Higashi Honganji in Kyoto, a walk from Kyoto Station, serving soba and sushi together. It offers juwari soba made from 100 percent buckwheat, saba bozushi, and tempura, and its zaru soba comes topped with myoga. The buckwheat noodles can be ordered as a free large portion, and there are sushi and tempura sets as well. The noodles are firm and slightly crumbly, like soba that has been cooked less than usual.
