Kineya is a Japanese restaurant on the basement floor of the Porta underground mall at Kyoto Station, serving udon, rice bowls, and fried dishes. The menu includes oyakodon, unagi don, curry udon, and katsudon, and the udon noodles are made in view of the seating area. On a Saturday lunch visit, the wait was 10 to 15 minutes, and there is space to leave luggage separately. A paper apron comes with the curry udon, whose broth carries a strong katsuobushi flavor that covers the curry taste.
