Ryokan Ginkaku

Ryokan Ginkaku is a ryokan in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto, directly in front of Kyoto Station. Guests sleep on futons laid out on tatami instead of beds, and breakfast is served. Luggage can be stored before check-in, and staff lay out the bedding around 7 p.m. The large bath on the basement floor is open until midnight, and cleanliness falls short, with hair left on the tatami.
