Dozen Ryokan

Dozen Ryokan is a traditional guesthouse in a house over 100 years old, an 8- to 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station. A cafe on the first floor serves matcha shaved ice and iced coffee, and guest rooms have tatami floors and traditional futon bedding. Staff explain the property in English and check-in is straightforward, and guests take off their shoes at the entrance. The walls are thin, so snoring from the next room and conversations after midnight can be heard.
