Hyeonsim Yasikdang is a Japanese-style izakaya a one-minute walk from Ttukseom Station in Seongsu, Seoul, serving nabemono and side dishes such as fried and grilled items. Its signature motsunabe comes with soft, chewy gopchang (intestines) without any off-putting smell, in a broth that is spicy rather than heavy. It opens at 4 p.m., offers a range of highballs, and takes dessert orders. The lighting is dim, so photos do not come out well.
