Ojo Haenyeo's House

Ojo Haenyeo-ui Jip is a haenyeo restaurant at Ojo Port in Seogwipo that serves abalone porridge, grilled abalone, turban shell, and octopus. The haenyeo grandmothers run it themselves, and the signature dishes are green abalone porridge made with the innards and abalone grilled whole with the innards. It opens early enough to visit after watching sunrise at Seongsan Ilchulbong, and there is parking for about 20 cars in front of the building. Seats look out on Seongsan Ilchulbong, Udo, Hallasan, and the oreum, and the abalone porridge is not very strongly flavored.
