Saengidol is a coastal site on Olle Trail Course 6 in Seogwipo, about 1 km from Soesokkak toward Seogwipo and in front of the Geujikoji cafe. The name comes from the Jeju dialect word saengi, meaning bird, and refers to two large rocks where migratory birds rest. From the wide observation deck, visitors can see the red volcanic stone and black basalt coastline and the lava friction marks remaining between the Geujikoji rocks. The scene is a coastal cliff where strong waves from the southern sea break.
