Seodaemun Prison History Hall in Seoul is a history museum restored from the prison where independence activists under Japanese colonial rule and democracy activists after liberation were held. It shows the traces of independence activists such as Yu Gwan-sun and the history of imprisonment at the time. Eating, loud voices, and photography are prohibited in the torture room and the execution ground. The site preserves the actual prison, where visitors learn the history of the independence movement.
