Sasebo 5th Avenue is a two-floor shopping mall by the water near Sasebo Station, with clothing and household goods stores and restaurants. It holds GU and Muji along with a bookstore, a supermarket, cafes and dessert shops. Parking is easy, and the outdoor area lets you walk while looking at ships docked in the harbor. In the evening you can stroll while viewing the harbor's night scenery.
