Hyottoko

Hyottoko is a lamb yakiniku restaurant in Sapporo, a 5- to 10-minute walk from Susukino Nikka. It grills basic jingisukan and salt- and soy-seasoned lamb over charcoal, and also serves lamb sausages. Reservations are often full, so booking ahead is required, and payment is cash only. The narrow interior is hot and stuffy because ventilation is poor.
