Sapporo Bankei Ski Area

Sapporo Bankei Ski Resort is a ski area within an hour's drive from central Sapporo, with slopes for skiing, snowboarding and sledding. The Orange Course looks out over the city, and there are also a halfpipe and mogul runs. Equipment, clothing and goggles can be rented, a playroom for young children is available, and coin lockers are single-use, so the coin is gone once the locker is opened. The resort can also be reached by subway and bus, but the beginner course starts with a steep slope and there is no complete-beginner course, which makes it hard for first-timers to start.
