Okutan Nanzenji is a yudofu restaurant that has operated for 360 years next to Nanzenji in Kyoto. It serves Kyoto-style tofu cuisine with tofu warmed in bonito and kelp broth, alongside grilled tofu skewers, sesame tofu, and shojin-age. Guests sit on tatami with a view of the garden, removing their shoes, and payment is accepted in cash only. The menu consists of a single yudofu course, so there is little choice.
