KANADE is a ryokan in a quiet area on the outskirts of Kyoto, with a Japanese garden and an open-air bath. The kaiseki breakfast is served as a set meal rather than a buffet. Guest rooms have large bathtubs separate from the toilet, so bathing is possible in the room. In winter the heating is a warm-air system, which makes the air dry or leaves the room cold when turned off.
