Piazza di Spagna

The Spanish Square is a large plaza in Rome where the Spanish Steps and Via dei Condotti meet. It is known for the gelato scene with Audrey Hepburn in the film Roman Holiday, and a fountain and luxury stores line the area below the square. The Spanish Embassy sits below the square, which gave the square its name, and the evening night view and sunset scenery stand out. Sitting on the Spanish Steps normally results in a fine.
