Domus Aurea is a tourist site in Rome where visitors look at the remains of Emperor Nero's golden palace. It sits directly in front of the Colosseum, and a roughly two-hour guided tour includes a VR headset experience. On weekends only those with reservations may enter, and frescoes remain inside. The huge palace survives only in part, so visitors have to imagine its full appearance.
