Seongcheonsaseong sits on the right bank of the Tiber River near St. Peter's Basilica, where a Roman emperor's tomb became a fortress and then a museum. It was built around 139 AD as the tomb of Emperor Hadrian, later served as a fortress and prison, and now functions as a museum. Walking the route to the top takes about an hour, and from there you can see St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican, and the city of Rome at a glance. The indoor exhibits and sights are fewer compared to the view.
