The Rainbow Gate and Former Guardhouse at Pusan National University is a historic structure on the campus, built as the old main gate and now serving as the rear gate. It is the work of Kim Chung-up, a first-generation architect representing Korean architecture, and is designated as a nationally registered cultural heritage. The campus sits on a large hill, and outdoor student events and music and sports performances are held there, with its own subway station on site. In everyday use, it is simply a gate.
