Homigot Sunrise Square

Homigot Haemaji Plaza in Pohang is where visitors watch the sunrise over the East Sea and see the Hand of Mutual Prosperity. One Hand of Mutual Prosperity stands in the plaza and another stands in the sea, and this is the first place in Korea to see the sunrise apart from Dokdo. The plaza holds the New Millennium Memorial Hall and the Lighthouse Museum, and it can be reached from Pohang Station on bus 9000. On New Year's Day the crowds are dense.
