Goseokjeong is a historic landmark in the Hantangang Gorge, with granite cliffs and unusual rock formations. A pavilion stands on a large rock, alongside a legend that Im Gweokjeong hid there and a history as a scenic site during the Joseon period. The area is designated a UNESCO Global Geopark and has walking trails, observatories, and a suspension bridge. A pontoon boat ride involves descending about 200 steps and lasts around 15 minutes, while the area becomes crowded with visitors and cars on weekends and public holidays.
