Biscuiterie de Montmartre is a dessert shop near the square on the Montmartre hill, selling macarons, cookies and madeleines. Its representative items are pistachio, rose and lemon macarons and cookies with shredded coconut that are crisp outside and soft inside. Inside, staff hand out coconut cookies or other sweets as samples, and macarons are packed in boxes for takeout. The macarons and some madeleines taste strongly sweet or artificial.
