Washo Ryoshu Shuan Gyosui is a traditional Japanese izakaya in Makishi, near Kokusai Street in Naha, Okinawa, serving seafood dishes and Japanese sake. It uses seafood brought in from Okinawa and Kyushu to make kombu-maki, battara sushi with black rice, and fried fish bones, and the owner selects sake to match each customer's preference. The shop is non-smoking and has counter seats, semi-private rooms, and tatami seating, and from the counter you can watch the owner's knife work. The space is small, so when it fills up it becomes loud enough to make conversation difficult.
