Sisa Bread MIA is a bakery in the back alleys of Kokusai Street in Naha, Okinawa, selling taiyaki shaped like shisa. Customers choose from custard, purple sweet potato, red bean, cheese, or chocolate, and each order is grilled so the outside is not crisp and the inside comes out warm. When there are no waiting customers, grilling takes about five minutes, and the shisa shapes come in two kinds: open-mouthed and closed-mouthed. There are no seats inside the shop to sit and eat.
