On the stone-step slope of Shuri Kinjocho leading up to Shuri Castle sits a music cafe that serves drinks and handmade sata-andagi. It offers juice made from home-grown goya mixed with fruit alongside a set of freshly fried sata-andagi made by the owner's wife, while the owner plays his own selection of music through a vacuum tube amplifier. The cafe opens only on Sundays for limited hours, and its garden holds koi in a pond, flowers the owner tends, and a family of cats. Seating is limited and only cash is accepted.
