Antoshimo

Antoshimo is a bakery in Kumoji, Okinawa, selling round fried breads filled with red bean paste, mochi, and curry. The A bread contains red bean paste and mochi, the B bread contains purple sweet potato and mochi, and the C bread contains curry, with an apple custard bread also available. Dough is prepared in advance, then steamed and fried after ordering, taking about three minutes, and the result is crisp outside and chewy inside. The storefront is not easy to spot and business hours are limited.
