Taketomi Apartment

This 51-square-metre one-bedroom apartment is on Taketomi Island, a 10- to 15-minute ferry ride from Ishigaki. The village has red-tiled roofs, coral stone walls and white sand roads, and you get around it by water buffalo cart or bicycle. A bicycle loop of the island takes about two hours, and walking it takes three to four hours. Sightseeing takes half a day.
