Sunabe Seawall is a small beach on Okinawa's Miyagi coast that draws local residents rather than tourists. The shallow water is enclosed by a coral reef, and at low tide tide pools with hiding crabs appear. Around sunset the sun can be seen beyond the sea, but there are almost no streetlights nearby, so leaving before it gets dark is better. The beach has no showers, changing rooms, restrooms, or lifeguard.
