Southernmost Train Station in Japan

The Monument to Japan's Southernmost Station stands in the plaza in front of Akamine Station in Okinawa. People take photos in front of the stone monument commemorating Japan's southernmost station. It sits on one side of the station plaza, so it can be visited briefly while passing through Akamine Station. The monument is old, and its lettering is faint and difficult to read.
