Okinawa Prefectural Peace Memorial Museum

Okinawa Peace Memorial Park is a large war memorial park in Itoman City on the southern part of Okinawa's main island, and it includes a memorial tower for Korean war dead. The Peace Memorial Museum displays photographs, documents, personal effects and testimony records from before, during and after the war in chronological order, from the perspective of Okinawan people. To reach the observation deck, take the elevator midway along the long corridor and then climb one more floor by stairs to look down over the entire park. The museum interior has almost no Korean-language explanations.
