Kouri Beach sits in Nakijin in northern Okinawa, where the emerald water is viewed against the backdrop of the Kouri Bridge. The 1,996-meter bridge and a stretch of fine sand are visible together. Parking is free, and two clean, spacious restrooms and foot-washing facilities are nearby. Swimming is prohibited from November through March, so the beach is used mainly for walking.
