Bashofu Center

In Kijoka Village in Okinawa, this workshop displays and sells bashofu products and related materials. It shows the process of extracting thread from the basho tree and weaving it into cloth, and also sells pouches and accessories. On the first floor, visitors watch a 14- to 15-minute video with subtitles, then tour the second-floor workroom to see actual work. Depending on the work schedule, the second floor may be closed and only the first floor can be viewed.
