Patbingsu Alley

Patbingsu Golmok is an alley off the BIFF street in Nampo-dong, Busan, where shops sell old-style patbingsu and patjuk. Each shop selects its own red beans, boils them for a long time, and grinds ice by hand to pile coarse ice on top. The layers are made in view of the customer in the order ice, red beans, ice, syrup, fruit, and asking for more red beans gets a double portion. The inside of the alley is on the warm side.
