Chuka Ryori Hachi is a Japanese-style Chinese restaurant in Tokyo that serves mapo tofu and tantanmen built around the aroma of Sichuan pepper. It sits between Nakano-Sakaue and Nakano-Shinbashi, about a five-minute walk from Shin-Nakano Station. Opened in 2016 and run by a single chef, it makes its food without chemical seasonings or garlic, and the tantanmen can be ordered with the spice level adjusted. Seating is by order at the table, and after noon the place can fill up to the point that entry is not possible.
