Aiba is a handcrafted folding fan shop in Kyoto that has operated for over 300 years. The shop makes fans both for summer use and as wall decorations, and every fan is made by hand. Staff explain the patterns and uses in detail, and purchases are packed in a box with a wooden stand and wrapped in paper. Some fans are priced high.
