Wagyu Hokusai is a meat restaurant in Kyoto that serves wagyu rice bowls, rare steak rice bowls, and gyudon. For the rare steak rice bowl, breaking the egg yolk and mixing it with soy sauce is the intended way to eat it. Orders are placed through a kiosk, and the prices on the entrance sign and the ordering screen differ. The meat can feel thick or tough.
