Tramonto is an old Italian restaurant set back inside a building in an alley behind Kyoto City Hall. It serves octopus marinade, octopus ragù, and oyster cream fettuccine, with cream pasta as its signature dish. The restaurant has run for around 40 years, and on weekdays seats can fill up with reservations. A single elderly chef does the cooking, and food takes about 50 minutes to arrive after ordering.
