Slurp sits at the mouth of an alley off a main street in Kyoto and serves ramen in chicken and pork bone broth. Its signature items are shoyu and miso ramen and a special pork bone and chicken paitan ramen, with chashu and ginger aroma in the rich soup. Orders are placed at a ticket machine, and seating is at the counter and at tables. Around 11:30 a.m. you can get in without a long wait, and there is no foreign-language menu, so you have to ask for help first if ordering is difficult.
