Pontocho Kappa Sushi

Pontocho Gappasushi serves sushi and sashimi in a traditional alley in Pontocho, Kyoto, near the Kamo River. Orders can be placed by the piece or as a set, and the sushi preparation is visible from the seats. There is a reserved seating area on the second floor and sunken seating by the windows, and waits of about an hour occur at lunch and dinner. Prices are on the high side.
