Owariya

Owariya is an old soba shop a short walk from Karasuma Oike Station in Kyoto, serving both soba and udon. Its menu includes combinations such as tempura soba and oyako udon, and the broth is not strongly seasoned. Local residents and older customers eat here, and the staff talk with customers freely while serving them. The seating is limited, so at lunch the shop fills up and people may wait outside.
