Omen - Shijo Ponto-cho

Omen is an udon restaurant near Kawaramachi Station and Nishiki Market in Kyoto that serves chicken udon and tsukemen. The udon arrives in warm water, and diners add noodles, burdock, ginger, and sesame to a soy-based sauce to their liking. Tenpura is crispy and can be ordered as a set with the udon. The noodles are fully cooked or softened rather than chewy.
