Sumiya Ryokan

Sumiya Ryokan is a traditional ryokan in Kyoto within walking distance of Nishiki Market, where guests use both a guest room and a small courtyard garden. Dinner is a kaiseki meal built around Kyoto vegetables, served in courses over two hours. On arrival, a preheated hinoki bath is waiting in the room, and breakfast and dinner are eaten in the room. Communicating in English is difficult.
