Minn Nijo-jo is a hotel in a quiet residential area of Kyoto near Nijo Castle, close to the busy district while the surroundings stay calm. Rooms are spacious and clean, and the bedding is good. Nijo Castle is easy to reach, and about a five-minute walk brings you to a shopping street and a market street. Self check-in is cumbersome: after entering details in advance, you still have to enter a number on the device and connect remotely.
