Yoshida-ya is an old coffee shop in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, near Pontocho Kaburenjo, serving espresso and blended coffee. Its signature items are lemon squash made with freshly squeezed raw lemon and strong Italian-style espresso. Founded in 1974, it is still run by the owner's wife after his death, and the yellow tile counter and copper menu board remain. Smoking is permitted inside, so those sensitive to cigarette smoke should avoid it.
