Ofudo Confectionary

Ofudo Confectionary is an old Western-style confectionery near Kyoto Gyoen in Kyoto, selling cakes, waffles and baked sweets. Its custard waffle is made with folded soft dough and holds a generous amount of cream. It opened in 1957 and starts at 10 a.m., and products can be reserved by phone. Waffles can sell out in the afternoon, so a morning visit is safer.
