Murakami Kaishindo is a handmade cookie and Western confectionery shop in Kyoto that has operated since Meiji 40. Its Russian cake comes in five kinds, including chocolate and raisin, and is known for a soft texture adapted to Japanese tastes. The cookie can contains 11 varieties and can be purchased by anyone who reserves it, while baked sweets are also available on the day. After reserving a cookie can, the wait to receive it is seven months to one year.
