Cafe Kitchen Kurun is a second-floor cafe in Kyoto that serves omurice and Napolitan. The demi-glace sauce is made by simmering real bones, and the Napolitan is prepared with care for the noodle texture and the bite of the sausage and button mushrooms. The male owner cooks each dish one at a time, so food takes more than 25 minutes to arrive, and he explains the Japanese-language menu slowly at the table. Portions are not large and are on the moderate side.
