Shizuka

Shizuka is an old izakaya tucked in the Yanagikoji alley near Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto. Its signature items are dashimaki and potato salad, served as a broth-filled rolled omelet and a potato salad with plenty of mayonnaise. The walls and seats are covered in graffiti left by customers since their university days, and the space has a counter, tables, tatami rooms, and second-floor seating. Payment is cash only.
