Rencontre is a small champagne bar just west of Takakura Street in Kyoto. It focuses on grower champagne, available by the glass and by the bottle, along with a small number of maison champagnes. The interior is quiet and subdued, and the by-the-glass selection can be checked daily. Prices are not particularly favorable.
